Stadiums of World Cup 1958

Sweden hosted the sixth FIFA World Cup finals in 1958. The country was awarded the 1958 tournament unopposed.

Sixteen countries took part in World Cup 1958. As well as host, Sweden, and defending champions, West Germany, fourteen teams qualified, including all four UK teams - Scotland, England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Twelve stadiums were used to host the tournament. Arenas used included Tunavallen, Ullevi Stadium and Malmo Stadion.

The final took place in Solna/Stokholm, in the Rasunda Stadium. Brazil defeated their Swedish hosts 5 - 2 in a dramatic clash that is often noted for Pele's contribution.
