Ayresome Park

The home of Middlesbrough F.C. from 1903 to 1995, Ayresome Park was chosen as on of the eight stadiums to host England's 1966 World Cup. It hosted three 1966 World Cup matches, each for Group 4.

Construction: Ayresome Park opened in 1903. Unfortunately it closed in 1995 when the Taylor Report required that all English Premier League stadiums be all-seater venues.
