Inaugurated on 7 April 2013, the Arena Fonte Nova is now called the Itaipava Arena Fonte Nova. The currrent stadium was built to replace the original Estádio Fonte Nova that opened on 28 January 1951. The venue hosted six matches in World Cup 2014.

Construction: The stadium was inaugurated on April 7, 2013

Matches: Spain 1 : 5 Netherlands (June 13), Germany 4 : 0 Portugal (June 16), Switzerland 2 : 5 France (June 20), Bosnia and Herzegovina 3 : 1 Iran (June 25), Belgium 2 : 1 USA (July 1) and quarter-final Netherlands 0 : 0 Costa Rica [Netherlands won 4 : 3 on penalties] (July 5).
