Fisht Olympic Stadium

The Fisht Stadium is located in the Sochi Olympic Park and is named after Mount Fisht. It was initially built to accommodate The Sochi Winter Olympics and Paralympics, but is also being used as a training base and match venue for Russia's national football team as well as to help host the 2018 World Cup.

Capacity: 40,000

Construction: Fisht Olympic Stadium was built for use during the 2014 Winter Olympics. Unlike many such arenas, construction was highly orgaised. The site was cleared in 2008, ahead of building starting in 2010. Despite a later design alteration in 2011, the stadium was completed in 2013 in good time for the the Sochi Winter Olympics.
