The Spartak Stadium (or Otkrytie Arena) is a multi-purpose stadium built in Moscow to help Russia host World Cup 2018. It is also the home venue for the successful FC Spartak Moscow and will accommodate over 45,000 fans.
Construction: The arena opened on 5 September, 2014. Originally planned to be completed by 2010, building was delayed when the original architectural plans were considered to be too ordinary.
