The Spartak Stadium (or Otkrytie Arena) is a multi-purpose stadium built in Moscow to help Russia host World Cup 2018. It is also the home venue for the successful FC Spartak Moscow and accommodates over 45,000 fans.
Construction: The arena opened on 5 September, 2014. Originally planned to be completed by 2010, building was delayed when the original architectural plans were considered to be too ordinary.
