Ahmed bin Ali Stadium

The Ahmed bin Ali Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Al Rayyan. It is home to both the Al-Rayyan Sports Club and the Al-Kharitiyath Sports Club and is often referred to as the Al Rayyan Stadium. It currently holds up to 21,282 fans.

A new stadium will be built for the World Cup in 2022. Seating capacity will be increased to 44,740, all seats being shaded. Fans will also be able to enjoy a 'media facade' that will display news, commercials and match updates as well as other games.

Construction: The original Ahmed bin Ali Stadium was built in 2003 and closed in 2014, before being demolished the following year. Work on the new arena started in 2016, and it should be completed in 2021.
