Qatar Foundation Stadium

Qatar Foundation Stadium

Qatar Foundation Stadium is one of the new venues being built for World Cup 2022. Design of the venue has been inspired by traditional Arab tents and have the appearance of a jagged diamond, glittering by day and glowing by night. The stadium will be a multi-purpose arena. As well as football, it will be able to host concerts and athletics events. The arena will have over 45,000 seats for the World Cup, after which capacity will reduced to 25,000.

The cost of this venue is expected to be immense. Solar collectors to power the stadium and the need for a climate controlled environment are expected to push the cost to a record-breaking amount.
