Estadio Akron

Previously known as the Estadio Omnilife and Estadio Chivas, Estadio Akron is a multi-purpose stadium located in the city of Guadalajara. It will be one of three Mexicans stadiums used in to help host World Cup 2026. Its main use is to host football matches, and is home to local team Club Deportivo Guadalajara.

There has been much controversy about the stadium's uses of artificial grass. There has been criticism from many, including players. The surface is now expected to be replaced with natural grass.

Capacity: 46,232

Construction: After six years of construction, the venue opened in 2010. The inaugural match was Guadalajara v Manchester United.
